Before you hire
- Ask for the written warranty: what it covers (finish material, workmanship, delamination), for how long, and who backs it.
- Nevada licenses pool contractors through the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB). Under NAC 624.150, the A-10 classification covers pools and spas, and the A-10c subclassification covers "repair and replacement of plaster" on residential pools and spas. Look up the contractor's license number, classification and monetary limit on the NSCB license search (checked October 23, 2026), and ask for proof of insurance. License numbers on profiles were copied from company websites and not looked up by us.
- If a brand is quoted (for example Pebble Tec), confirm installer status with the manufacturer. Pebble Tec has an installer locator.
- Ask your city whether the job needs a permit.
- Get 2–3 written quotes for the same finish and scope.
